Stuck intake valve!?!

Oh, I forgot to mention that the sticking intake valve went away after some new plugs (NGK). This makes me happy! Also, no matter how hard I push her I can never seem to get above 40MPH, at least that is what the speedo says! I guess I will have to do some more investigating there too, since I am also a graduate of the drive it like you stole it school of driving.

what happens at 40mph? Does the engine buck or cutout or just flatten out? Is this an FI car?

The engine is still running strong at pretty much any speed. I think this is purely a speedo problem. At 40 MPH the speedo just stalls and flutters a bit. Actually the speedo fluctuates +/- 3mph anytime the car is moving but it still can't get above 40. The car is an 80 FI that has been converted to 40 IDFs.
